Getting Ready to Fight Mosquitoes

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — With the temperature warming up and the recent rainfall, more mosquitoes are expected in the area.

Mosquitoes are returning and are expected in large numbers due to the standing water all over the region.

They breed in standing water causing mosquito and pest companies to already be hard at work with full schedules, preparing lawns for the inevitable pest.

SafeYard recommends getting ready for these mosquitos before they cause trouble.

Owner Alicia Winmill says, “So it’s really good to get ahead of the curve. Keep an eye on things in your lawn that may be holding standing water and also treat your lawn if you can by applying a barrier spray so that when the mosquitos do come you’ll be ready.”

Barrier sprays for yards are safe for kids and pets, as well.
