Longtime Fargo South coach Cameron Dockter stepping down

FARGO (KVRR) – Cameron Dockter, a longtime coach at Fargo South High School, is stepping down after coaching for more than 20 years. Dockter was the head boys’ track and field coach for the Bruins and was recently named the East Region and North Dakota coach of the year for the sport.
Dockter was an assistant coach for the football program and had been a teacher in the Fargo Public Schools for more than 20 years. Dockter has retired as a teacher.
“Mr. Dockter created positive relationships with his athletes by going above and beyond to help them both as athletes and as people. The impact he had on the lives of students and athletes in his career as a teacher and a coach of football and track and field is immeasurable. I thank him for all he has done for our students and South High.” wrote Fargo South High School Activities Coordinator Mike Beaton.
Beaton says the search for Dockter’s replacement is underway.
