New Details On Suspect Who Set Off Shelter in Place In Dalton, MN Over The Weekend

OTTER TAIL CO., Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) — We are learning more about the arrest of a man who set off a shelter in place during an extensive search Saturday in Dalton, Minnesota in Otter Tail County.
31-year-old Eliezer Rodriguez of Hutchinson, Minnesota was caught while on foot Saturday afternoon in a wooded area near Hansel Lake Rest Stop along I-94 just south of Dalton.
An airplane and drone were used to track Rodriguez.
A car connected to the case was found at the rest stop.
Rodriguez was wanted by Minneapolis Park Police and is accused of carjacking a woman at knifepoint Friday afternoon on Cedar Lake Parkway, kidnapping and raping her.
He is now in the Hennepin County Jail and charged with kidnapping, criminal sexual conduct and carjacking.
