FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Nursing students from Rasmussen University received their pins as they completed their degrees at the Fargo Theater Friday.

Gilbert and Truphena Ogendi are husband and wife, and they both recieved their pins today.

They both worked their way through nursing school while raising their young daughter Tiffany.

Both Gilbert and Truphena thanked their professors for the support that they received during their time in school, and that they couldn’t do it without them.

“Life has been hard for us with two of us being students at Rasmussen, but with Rasmussen’s support from the administration and teachers, they have helped us pass through this path.”

The pins graduates receive are part of a long standing tradition in nursing, dating back to Florence Nightingale.
