Moorhead Seeks Candidates in Four City Council Wards for November Election

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — The city election in Moorhead will be held on November 5th and four council seats are up for grabs.
Seats held by Matthew Gilbertson in Ward 1, Laura Caroon in Ward 2, Larry Seljevold in Ward 3 and Sebastian McDougall in Ward 4 will be on the ballot.
Candidates interested in running must be qualified voters at least 21 years of age on the date of taking office, a U.S. citizen, and a resident of the ward they are running in for least 30 days prior to the election.
Each Ward seat is for a four year term.
If you want to run, you can pick up paperwork at the city clerk’s office at city hall and file it by August 13 at 5 p.m.
The filing fee is $5.00.
