Wrigley: Others likely withholding information about Holmberg’s sex crimes
FARGO (KVRR) – North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley says he believes there are more people with information about the sex crimes case surrounding former state Sen. Ray Holmberg of Grand Forks–and he wants them to speak with investigators.
Holmberg recently pleaded guilty in federal court to traveling to the Czech Republic to have sex with children. He’ll be sentenced later this year.
Wrigley tells KVRR Local News that he hopes more potential witnesses will decide to come forward as the investigation continues.
“You don’t close down the avenues of pursuit simply because one person has been charged,” Wrigley said.
“The investigators and I…and my colleagues in the U.S. Attorney office…there are people in whom we are interested…and I believe there are witnesses who know more than they’ve shared with us so far,” Wrigley added.
“There could potentially be other people out there with information. I really want to encourage them to dig deep and think hard about the value of the justice that can come when people share the truth; the whole truth about what they know.”
Wrigley says anyone with additional information, even if they’ve already spoken with investigators, is encouraged to contact the North Dakota Attorney General’s office or the U.S. Attorney’s office.
