Fargo Cass Public Health: At least 15 Whooping Cough cases since start of school

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Local health officials warn there’s been a spike in pertussis cases, also known as Whooping Cough.

Fargo Cass Public Health says at least 15 cases have been reported since the start of the school year.

Since January, there have been 41 reported cases in Cass County.

Dr. Tracie Newman says now is more important than ever to make sure you and your family are up to date on all vaccines.

Whooping Cough is a highly contagious respiratory illness that spreads easily from person to person through the air.
