United Way and Hornbacher’s Host 17th Annual “Gobble it Up”

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — United Way teams up with Hornbacher’s for the 17th annual “Gobble It Up” benefit luncheon.

At Hornbacher’s locations all across the metro, area volunteers handed out lunches.

They included a Jennie-O hot turkey sandwich, Old Dutch chips, Kemps frozen treat and a Pepsi or Aquafina for a suggested donation of $7.

Businesses like Family Fare were one of the many who signed up ahead of time to purchase lunches for their team.

“We’re doing this really to boost our community. United Way does so much for our community to help with homelessness really lift people up during their difficult times,” said Samantha Simmons, Coburns, Inc. Director of Operations.

“Every dollar not just today, any dollar donated with United Way stays right here to help our local opportunities so we can help support our neighbors,” said Karla Isley, President of United Way of Cass Clay.

Since the event began, United Way has raised nearly $400,000.
