Legendary NDSU Bison Wrestling Coach Bucky Maughan Dies at 83

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The man who coached the North Dakota State University wrestling program for 47 seasons has died.
Arthur “Bucky” Maughan died Tuesday night at 83.
He coached the program from 1964-2011 with his teams winning four NCAA Division II national championships in 1988, 1998, 2000 and 2001.
Maughan finished his Bison career with a record of 467 wins, 157 losses and 13 ties in dual meets.
He was inducted into the NDSU Bison Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011 and into the halls of fame for Pennsylvania High School Wrestling, NAIA Wrestling, NCAA Division II Wrestling, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, and the MSU Moorhead Dragons.
The university says a celebration of life is being arranged and details will be made available at a later date.
