#5 UND Hockey pull off the comeback to win 3-2 over #20 MSU-Mankato on the road
MANKATO, MN (KVRR) – #5 UND (2-0-0) had to work for it, but they pulled off the comeback to win 3-2 over the #20 Minnesota State-Mankato Mavericks (2-3-0) Friday night. UND was down 2-0 but thanks to a major penalty, they scored back-to-back power play goals to tie it up in the third. Almost nine minutes later, Carter Wilkie scored the game-winner to open the series with a win.
Both Cameron Berg and Louis Jamernik V scored the power play goals while T.J. Semptimphelter got 23 saves.
UND returns to action Saturday night at 6:07 to play Game 2 against the Mavericks.
