FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A Grand Forks man is sentenced in federal court for possession of stolen firearms and assaulting a federal agent.

The judge gave 45-year-old Michael Otto 13 years in federal prison.

He’ll have to pay restitution for damaged vehicles totaling over $2,700.

Two stolen firearms were found in Otto’s vehicle after a high speed chase in September 2023.

Last July, a warrant was issued for his arrest for violating terms of his pretrail release.

He rammed his vehicle into two vehicles occupied by Grand Forks Police and FBI agents during the arrest.
