White Earth Man Threatens To Shoot Deputies During Sunday Night Arrest

BECKER CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A White Earth, Minnesota man is accused of threatening to shoot deputies as they tried to take him into custody Sunday night.
Becker County deputies located Robert Azure, Sr. at a residence in White Earth.
Felony and misdemeanor arrest warrants were out for the 50-year-old man.
When Azure was told that he was under arrest, he locked himself inside a bedroom and threatened to shoot the deputies.
Several other officers responded to the scene including from White Earth and Callaway and Azure eventually came out of the bedroom and was taken into custody.
He was booked into Becker County Jail on warrants out of Mahnomen and Becker Counties for felony drug possession and burglary, and misdemeanor warrants for violation of an order for protections and domestic assault.
The investigation is pending.
