Residents At a Senior Living Apartment Put Together a Veterans Memorial To Remember Loved Ones

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — People living at Homefield Senior Living Apartments have set up a memorial to veterans in honor of their family and loved ones.

The memorial was started by Rick Thibert who brought up the idea to some of the residents he likes to sit with.

The word started to get around and everyone dug through their belongings to find something to commemorate their loved ones.

They hope that with the start of this memorial it will bring others to life and possibly expand theirs.

“Just remember what a lot of these guys came back to what, you know. It’s time to remember and help healing some of the hurt they went through of the guys that came back,” said Rick Thibert, Navy Veteran.

The memorial will be on display for another week and residents hope to bring more to the table.
