UPDATE: Man arrested for Moorhead bank robbery

UPDATE: Eric Flynn, age 44, of Moorhead, was apprehended within 20 minutes after a Moorhead bank reported an armed robbery. Officers obtained a search warrant for Flynn’s hotel room, where they located cash from the robbery.

Flynn is being held in Clay County Correctional Facility.

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – Police say a man is in custody in connection with a bank robbery Friday morning in Moorhead.

Police Captain Deric Swenson says the robbery happened around 8:20 a.m. at the First International Bank at 865 37th Ave. S.

Swenson says a masked man walked into the bank, implied that he had a weapon, and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A man described by police as a “person of interest was taken into custody less than 20 minutes later at the Bison Plains Lodge at 3621 8th St. South.

No one was injured. The investigation remains open.
