West Fargo teen’s annual food drive exceeds goal

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A West Fargo teen and her family exceed their goal of raising money to help feed hungry families.

The Great Plains Food Bank says the 12th anniversary of Gowri’s Annual Food Drive raised more than $4,000.

Gowri Pillai had a goal of $3,500.

They also collected nearly 1,400 pounds of food.

The contributions are enough to provide over 10,200 meals for individuals and families facing hunger.
