Mahnomen-Waubun Falls in Class A FB Semifinals; 30-16 to Springfield

THE THUNDERBIRDS END THE SEASON WITH A 11-1 RECORD.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn (KVRR) – A season ago in the 2023 MSHSL Class A state tournament semifinals, Springfield defeated Mahnomen-Waubun 36-12 to advance to the Prep Bowl. A year later, the same teams met at U.S. Bank Stadium again.

Mahnomen-Waubun took a 16-0 lead Saturday, but then the offense stalled. Springfield scored the next 30 points to take the lead and and advance to their third straight Prep Bowl. 30-16 the final.

The Thunderbirds end their season with a 11-1 record.
