FCS Playoffs: No. 2 NDSU Hosts No. 15 Abilene Christian Saturday, December 7
ABILENE CHRISTIAN DEFEATS NORTHERN ARIZONA 24-0 IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE FCS PLAYOFFS TO ADVANCE TO PLAY NDSU.
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) –NDSU (10-2) knows who they will play in the FCS playoffs second round. 15-seed Abilene Christian (9-4) defeated unranked Northern Arizona Saturday 24-0.
2-seed NDSU will host Abilene Christian at 2 P.M. Saturday, December 7 at the FargoDome.
THE NUMBERS*:
Offense:
- ACU owns the 16th ranked scoring offense at 24.8 points-per-game entering the playoffs and the 3rd overall offense averaging 479.7 yards-per-game.
- NDSU owns the third best scoring offense averaging 38.8 points-per-game and the 13th ranked offense averaging 432 yards-per-game.
Defense:
- ACU owns the 94th ranked scoring defense allowing 31.5 points-per-game.
- NDSU owns the 8th best scoring defense allowing 17.25 points-per-game.
