FARGO (KVRR) — The Fargo Police Department has revealed the identity of both the victim and alleged shooter involved in Wednesday’s shooting at the 4500 block of 47th Street S.

The identities were revealed during a press conference held Friday, Dec. 6, at the Fargo Police Headquarters.

The victim was identified as 32-year-old Rahssan Wilson, of Fargo. Police say Wilson was shot multiple times and that he received aid from bystanders immediately after the shooting. He was then taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.

The alleged shooter, 30-year-old Steven Burrell of Fargo, was arrested Thursday in Dubuque, Iowa, by the Dubuque Police Department.

Police say Wilson was an acquaintance of Burrell’s, but would not elaborate further on the nature of their relationship.

Police did say that their new FLOCK cameras were used to track the suspect within the city of Fargo.

This is still an active investigation, and police are asking for the public to come forward with any information that may relate to this case.
