FARGO (KVRR/KFGO) – A unique call for service for police in Fargo.

A man driving from Montana to Michigan experienced chest pains and required immediate medical attention yesterday afternoon.

He was hauling 14 goats and two dogs in his trailer.

Community Service Officer Laverne Buzick stepped in and contacted NDSU police.

Skip Anderson with NDSU’s Department of Animal Sciences helped make sure the animals were given food and water.

The dogs were temporarily cared for by a pet and grooming spa.

The goats were sheltered in the man’s trailer.

His family will help get the animals to Michigan.
