Battle of The Badges: West Fargo Police and Fire Battle it Out For Blood Drive
WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — It is the sixth annual Battle of the Badges, and both West Fargo Police and Fire Departments are competing to see who will win with the most donations.
It’s been a neck and neck race for both departments for the past six years.
Each person who signed up received a sticker representing the department and a chance to win a gift card and other prizes.
While they are competing to see who gets the title and trophy for the year, they want people to make this event about helping others.
“Come on out, get screened. It’s a pretty quick, pretty painless process, and it’s a really easy way to make a difference and a direct impact in your community,” said Darin Underhill, Fire Inspector at West Fargo Fire Department.
“We just have that friendly competition between us, so please come on out and even if you’re going to donate for team fire we’d appreciate your donations,” said Sergeant Patrick Hanson, West Fargo Police Department.
The Blood Drive continues tomorrow at DoubleTree Hilton from 8:30 to 1. The winners for prizes and departments will be announced on Friday.
