Santa Is Coming To Town Thanks To Fargo Parks District

Thanksgiving is over and that means only one thing, Santa is on his way.

It’s 26 days until Christmas, but who’s counting?

“I really want a rip stick and a camera,” one kid says.

Another adds, “I want a barbie.”

Well it seems like local kids are and thanks to the Fargo Parks District annual Santa Village. Everyone is getting in the spirit.

“Giving a little something for everybody whether it be children, parents, grandparents or just families in general,” says Head Elf Manager, Skyler Alfstad.

Whether it’s visiting Santa’s reindeer, decorating Christmas crafts or writing Santa a letter, kids are checking their Christmas errands off the list.

An eager child says, “I’m supposed to write the letter because Santa is going to come.”

“I just wrote I’m very thankful and what I want for Christmas,” adds another.

Santa Village is celebrating 28 years of spreading Christmas cheer.

“I used to come here as a kid so it’s kind of like a big circle now. I definitely remember meeting Santa, decorating cookies with Mrs. Claus,” says Alfstad.

And best of all, kids are on their best behavior.

One kids exclaims, “That’s why Santa’s going to give me three x-box controllers.”

So better not pout, and better not cry, because Santa’s on his way.

Santa Village will be open every weekend throughout the Christmas season. The last day will be December 23rd, so Santa can get back to the North Pole in time for Christmas
