Thanksgiving Means Turkey and Shopping

Thanksgiving usually means food and family.

But to some it’s the perfect kick–start to the holiday shopping season.

If you want to burn off that Thanksgiving bird, shopping could be the way to do it and according to Nerd Alert there’s a few deals to look out for.

Target is giving away a $100 store gift card with an Apple watch.

Kohl’s is selling the Fitbit Charge for just $90, which is originally priced at $130.

And Sears is selling its Nutri Ninja blender for 60 bucks.

A busy day for big box stores but save some of your shopping energy for Saturday when small businesses will have their day of deals.

“It’s definitely a crush right off the bat. Tends to dwindle down throughout the night and then picks up again in the morning. Ramps up till about noon, one. And it’s just a busy day, an energetic day,” says West Acres Property Manager, Chris Eaton.

“What we love about Zandbroz and what we feel is important about all small businesses is that it’s really an experience when you come here. The decor really creates a warm inviting atmosphere, it’s very different than what you’re going to see at a big box store,” says Zandbroz Manager, Joise Danz.

Small business Saturday has been a major help for local businesses like Zandbroz and many other shops in downtown Fargo.

The holiday is only a few years old but has since become almost as well recognized as Black Friday.
