Man Dies in Fargo Hospital After Pickup Goes Through Ice on Big Stone Lake

BIG STONE CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A man rushed to Fargo after his pickup went through the ice on Big Stone Lake near Lagoona Beach has died.

Big Stone County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man as 62-year-old Rodney Gustafson of rural Big Stone City.

They say Gustafson went through the ice just after 9 a.m. on Sunday.

First responders found his body in the water and he was flown to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo where he was pronounced dead.
