Mail Carrier Chases Down Man Who Swiped Package

A Fargo mail carrier reportedly chased and then tackled a man accused of stealing a package addressed to a woman as part of a scheme to deliver marijuana.
 
Raymond Stenson, of Enderlin, is charged in federal court with robbery, theft and assault after a Wednesday afternoon incident that at a south Fargo apartment. Authorities say Stenson followed the carrier into the building and said a package being delivered belonged to his girlfriend. The mailman refused to hand the package over. Later, Stenson snatched the package and ran through a parking lot, where he was corraled by the carrier.

Stenson later said the package contained marijuana.

Police could find no evidence that woman who was supposed to receive the package ever lived at the apartment where the package was supposed to be delivered.
