Deputy On Leave After Shooting Man In Domestic Disturbance South of Watford City, ND

MCKENZIE CO., N.D. (KVRR) — One person is dead and a deputy on leave after an officer-involved shooting south of Watford City, North Dakota.
Just before 7:30 last night, McKenzie County sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic disturbance.
During the encounter, a man was shot.
He was taken to McKenzie County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The deputy has been placed on paid administrative leave.
North Dakota BCI is investigating the shooting.
No names have been released.
