ROCHESTER, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) — A woman who called a young Somali child the “N” word repeatedly at a Rochester, Minnesota park, all of which was captured in a now-viral video, may be criminally charged.

Identifying herself as Shiloh Hendrix on a crowdfunding website, she has raised over $700,000 with a goal of $1 million citing the need for security after threats.

Hendrix claims the 5-year-old child had stolen from her 18 month old son’s diaper bag at the park.

Rochester police say they’ve wrapped up their investigation into the video and prosecutors are working to determine if charges will be pressed.

The NAACP Rochester branch, community members, and people online worldwide are upset by the video.

A GoFundMe page for the victim has raised over $340,000.
