Open House Discussion Regarding 32nd Avenue Reconstruction
Project officials plan to have the forum every other week, on Tuesdays, from 10:30-11:00 A.M.
FARGO, N.D. – The 32nd Avenue reconstruction efforts are moving forward, and project organizers want to make sure the community’s voices are heard.
To that end, they’re holding informational, open-house style meetings at the John Carlson branch of the Fargo Public Library.
Today, May 6, was the first one.
City officials and contractors were on hand to answer any questions citizens or business owners may have, from foot traffic concerns to the potential loss of water or sewer lines.
The City of Fargo says that they put a lot of effort into making sure that the detours they set up around the construction are as efficient for drivers as possible.
“It’s part of the design process,” said Eric Hodgson, a civil engineer with the city.
“A lot of times we even go out and talk to businesses to see about different accesses or how their businesses are being utilized. We try to look at every angle. Unfortunately, there’s no perfect solution, but we try to take into consideration the routes that make the most sense.”
Phase 2 of the project is expected to conclude in early September.
