Construction Woes Impacting Downtown Fargo Sushi Restaurant

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Restaurants off Broadway in Downtown Fargo say they have been impacted by construction and street fairs for the past few years.
Wasabi and Poke Bowl are two restaurants fused together with sushi and a Japanese eatery.
The owner took over the restaurant three years ago, but has been seeing issues coming up in the past two years.
More than once, customers have left food orders because there was no available parking in front of the building.
With the current construction, the owner hopes people will cross over the barrier to enjoy their food.
“This is the only thing keeping me going and stay in to support my family. And I have my workers under me about twenty-one to twenty-seven people their lives are on the restaurant. I hope for the restaurant every weekend that is the team of the restaurant,” said Maya Perleberg – Owner of Leela Thai, Wasabi, and Poke Bowl.
They are waiting for the city to make some changes to the area to help bring in customers.
