4th Annual Swing Training Signals Start of Roger Maris All-Star Week
The bevy of fundraising events are extremely important for Sanford in their pursuit of cancer care and research.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The biggest fundraising effort of the summer months in Fargo-Moorhead is almost upon us.
May 13 marked the beginning of the countdown to the sixth annual Roger Maris All-Star Week.
That started with the 4th annual Swing Training event, held, as always, at Suite Shots.
Teams of up to six players were able to register for a virtual game of “61”.
In attendance were many of All-Star Week’s celebrities, including an event regular, legendary Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway.
Greenway says the work Sanford is doing to support families from rural areas – like his – is unbelievably impactful.
“I just think of my own examples of when my dad got sick, and he went to the Mayo Clinic. We had to go find an apartment to rent, find a place to be, and there’s not enough room if the family wants to come and visit,” he reflected.
“All these families in this area – in this region, really – will be impacted in a positive way,” he said regarding Sanford’s Peltier Lodge and the comfort it will give to families of cancer patients.
“At the end of the day, when it comes down to just taking care of people, Sanford’s done such an incredible job.”
Roger Maris All-Star Week itself begins June 15 and runs through June 19.
The flagship event, the celebrity golf tournament, takes place June 18.
It will be the 42nd celebrity tournament held in Maris’ name.
