Red River’s Berg named 2024-25 North Dakota Gatorade Softball Player of the Year
GRAND FORKS (KVRR) – One of the bright stars in high school softball has been named the 2024-25 North Dakota Gatorade Softball Player of the Year for the state. Sophomore Jocelyn Berg of the Grand Forks Red River Roughriders becomes the first softball player from the school to be given this award.
Berg is a two-way star for the Roughriders, dominating as a pitcher and hitter. She recently helped Red River to their first ever EDC conference championship when she threw nine strikeouts and hit a grand slam home run in the title game against Fargo North.
