Foster couple charged in 3-year-old girl’s death

STANLEY, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — A Stanley, North Dakota couple is facing murder charges for the death of a 3-year-old foster girl with autism.
Court records show that Jamie Johnson called 911 on March 19 after the girl became unresponsive.
She was taken to Mountrail County Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
An autopsy ruled the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.
North Dakota BCI agents say Ring camera footage shows Jamie repeatedly punching and slapping the girl after she bit Jamie’s finger.
Video showed the girl falling onto a table and hitting her head.
Court documents say Jamie’s husband Raymond came into the room and kicked the girl in the back.
Raymond and Jamie Johnson are charged with Felony AA murder, child abuse, and domestic violence.
They face life in prison, if convicted.
