Polk County Sheriff’s Office conduct search for alleged burglar found naked in home
UPDATE: The suspect has been arrested and located.
SULLIVAN TOWNSHIP, Minn. — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a burglary in the Sullivan Township near East Grand Forks.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the report came in around 5 a.m. Friday, June 13, of an active burglary.
The sheriff’s office says the homeowner found the suspect nude in their basement, who then fled the home before police arrived.
Police set up a perimeter and conducted a search of the area.
A vehicle was located in a ditch near the victim’s residence that police believe is the suspect’s.
The suspect has not been located at this time.
The sheriff’s office does not believe there is a threat to public safety.
The incident is currently under investigation, and they are asking the public to contact the sheriff’s office at 218-281-0431 if they have any information about this incident.
UPDATE: According to the Polk County Sheriff, at approximately 4:40 P.M. on the 13th, a sheriff’s deputy on patrol spotted the suspect along the Grand Marais Creek.
The suspect, Christopher Arnet Wilson, 45, of Alvarado, MN was then taken into custody.
Wilson will remain at Northwest Regional Corrections Center pending formal charges.
