Groundbreaking held for facility that will house Roger Maris patients

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday for a facility that will help cancer patients from out of town have a place to stay.

The Peltier Lodge will be located just across the street from the Roger Maris Cancer Center in north Fargo.

It is named after a family from Arthur, North Dakota, who made a lead gift for funding the lodge.

Sanford is halfway through raising the funds to meet its $10 million price tag.

The groundbreaking was attended by the family of Roger Maris.

The lodge expected to take around two years to complete once construction begins.
