Big, Beautiful Bill passes in the House; Sen. Hoeven says it will “make our nation more prosperous and more secure”

BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR) — The House of Representatives passes the One Big, Beautiful Bill and it now goes to the desk of President Donald Trump.
Senator John Hoeven, of North Dakota, says it will provide permanent tax relief for American families and small businesses, secure the border, rebuild our military, support farmers and ranchers by passing the heart and soul of the farm bill and unleash American energy dominance.
Hoeven says, “The One Big Beautiful Bill will make our nation more prosperous and more secure. We worked to pass this legislation to provide permanent tax relief for American families that will enable them to keep more of their hard-earned paychecks. We invest in priorities like border security, national defense, unleashing American energy dominance and passing the heart and soul of the farm bill for our farmers and ranchers. At the same time, we find $1.6 trillion in savings to help with our debt and deficit. This bill delivers on the priorities that President Trump promised to get our nation back on track.”
Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak, a North Dakota Republican, voted in favor of the bill and calls it a major win for North Dakotans.
Democrats in North Dakota responded to the vote by saying, Rep. Fedorchak, Sen. Cramer, and Sen. Hoeven sacrificed North Dakotans to pay for tax handouts to the mega-wealthy.
They also say those three, along with other Congressional republicans, are putting North Dakotans’ health care, food assistance, and jobs on the chopping block.
