Sheriff identifies suspects arrested after standoff in Moorhead

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – Two people arrested following a law enforcement pursuit and a standoff at a Moorhead home on Monday have been identified.

Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting says the driver of the vehicle, 42 year old Christopher Ringsrud-Knowels of Arvilla, North Dakota and a passenger, 30-year-old Alexandria Lang of Fargo.

The backpack that was discarded from the vehicle was found to contain a firearm and ammunition.

The people inside the home when Ringsrud-Knowels broke in were the homeowner and a child. Both were able to leave the home safely.

Ringsrud-Knowels has been charged with felony burglary, felony possession of a firearm and felony fleeing.

Lang faces charges of obstruction and aiding an offender.

They are both being held in Clay County Correctional Facility.
