North Dakota Department of Commerce taking applicants for tourism and community enhancement grants

BISMARCK, N.D. — North Dakota is opening up money to enhance tourism, community infrastructure, and historic preservation across the state.
The grants, which were voted on in the last legislative session, are to provide money to communities to support various projects that will contribute to visitor and resident experiences.
They range from providing money for updates and renovations of historic places, to funding for building a public transportation system in Medora.
Eligible organizations can submit a short application letter to the state’s commerce department and include information like amount requested, intended uses for the funds and desired outcomes.
The grant process is open from July 22 through September 1.
