Poster Session Allows Undergrads to Show Off Summer Research

Nearly 50 students had research on display at the event.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – An event at NDSU gave several undergrads a chance to show what they’ve been up to this summer.

The Summer Research Poster Session featured 46 undergraduate and high school students who have spent their summer doing scientific research, and on Friday they got to present their findings.

Over the summer, the undergrads have been doing hand-on research at NDSU Labs.

Topics ranged from real-time object detection in cameras, predicting polymer surfaces, and even how some undergraduates balance their work and student lives.

“Artificial Intelligence is a big topic this year. We have ASSN, which is one of their AI applications in power and energy networks,” added Ying Huang, an associate professor at NDSU.
