Overnight Shooting Unrelated to Recent Violence, Police Say

The victim is said to be in critical but stable condition.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Another shooting incident took place in the early hours of a weekend in Fargo, continuing an unsettling recent trend of violence.

This one did not occur downtown, but a few blocks north, near the intersection of 10th Street North and 6th Avenue North.

The Fargo Police Department says they responded to the scene on Saturday, August 9, just after 12 A.M., where they located an adult man with a gunshot wound. He was treated at the scene, transported to a hospital, and remains there in critical but stable condition.

FPD says their investigation indicates the suspect and victim were involved in a physical altercation prior to the shooting, and that this incident is not related to the shootings on August 3.

Officers attempted to locate their suspect in the immediate aftermath of the shooting but have yet to take him into custody. He is described as a scruffy-looking white male wearing a red shirt.
