Second annual All African Festival ready to kick off
Fargo, N.D. (KVRR) — A taste of African Culture is coming to the metro once again thanks to members of the F-M immigrant community.
The All African Festival celebrates the diverse cultures of Africa while offering a chance for members of the community to bond over their shared identity.
The festivities will kick off on Saturday with the Miss Africa North Dakota beauty pagent, not to be outdone by the sports festival on Sunday, featuring soccer for the men, and kickball for the women.
Organizers are excited to bring all of the beauty and color of African culture back to the metro for a second year.
“We recognize that we really need to be together, to work together, to collaborate. That’s why we’re here and we’re working together in order to share our culture, our tradition,” Fowzia Adde said.
“You will see the beauty of Africa, the expression, the color, everything that makes Africa look good and naturality of Africa,” Olasunkanmi Olanrewaju added.
