Barnesville man killed in head-on crash east of Barnesville

BARNESVILLE, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) – The state patrol says a Barnesville man died after a two-vehicle crash near Barnesville Tuesday morning.

Sergeant Jesse Grabow says the head-on crash took place about 5 miles east of Barnesville on Highway 34.

One of the drivers, Burton Swenson, 89 was killed in the crash.

The other driver, 64-year-old Cary Zepper of Hawley was taken to Sanford Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The collision was reported shortly before 8:30.

Clay County deputies and Barnesville Fire and Ambulance also responded to the scene.
