Hitting the roller rink for annual Labor Day session at Skate City

FARGO (KVRR) — Many families looking for lunch ideas this Labor Day laced up the skates for the annual Labor Day Skate at Skate City.
The event went from noon until 6 p.m. and every paid skater was able to get a free hot dog and small drink to stay fueled up for skating and playing games.
Last year, nearly 400 skaters came to skate for the Labor Day session and this year, they hope to surpass that.
With Labor Day nearly over, Skate City says they have more events planned for the near future.
“We have our new glow night that’s going to start on Friday nights,” said Skate City General Manager Tony Haar. “Everybody gets a free glowstick when they come out on those Friday nights from 8 to 10. And, of course, we’ve had a lot of requests for an adult ight, so we’re starting up our new adult night here on Saturday nights from nine to 11.”
It costs $10 to get in, and free passes were not accepted for the Labor Day Skate Session.
