NEVIS, MN (KVRR) – A teenager in Hubbard County has been arrested after reportedly threatening to shoot up a public school in Nevis.

The Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office received those reports from the school itself, where staff say the student threatened to bring a gun into the building.

The 14-year-old allegedly said he planned to shoot up the school, then shoot one particular student and himself.

After confirming with students that the threats had been made, deputies traveled to rural Nevis to interview the teen, who confirmed he had done so.

The teenager was placed under arrest for making terroristic threats and taken to the Northwest Minnesota Juvenile Center in Bemidji, where he remains in custody.
