Man wanted in Fargo shooting arrested, police still searching for other suspect

FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – A man wanted in a shooting last Wednesday night in Fargo has been arrested. Fargo police say 24-year-old Braden Poitra was arrested in West Fargo at about 9:00 Tuesday night by officers with the Metro Street Crimes Unit and West Fargo Police.
He’s facing charges on several warrants for attempted murder, reckless endangerment, armed robbery, and aggravated assault.
The shooting victim had serious, but non life-threatening injuries. He is expected to recover. The shooting took place in a home near 14th Street and 1st Avenue South.
Police are still searching for a second suspect in the shooting, 35-year-old Dennis Salinas. After the shooting, police said Poitra and Salinas should be considered armed and dangerous.
