BIG Event Brings Science to Girls of All Ages
BIG stands for Believe in Girls, and the event is designed to get them interested in science and technological fields.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – It was a science showcase at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds on October 5.
Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons put on the The BIG Event (BIG stands for “Believe In Girls”) so girls of all ages can get hands-on experience with STEM.
The Butler Machinery Arena was filled with exhibits from many organizations and companies.
Kids could handle rocks, pet exotic animals like tortoises, and even put their chemistry skills to work making fairy potions.
Both organizers and scouts alike say it’s a rewarding day.
The next BIG Event in North Dakota will be up in Grand Forks on October 18.
