Two incidents on Otter Tail Lake on Saturday have positive outcomes

OTTER TAIL CO., Minn. (KVRR)– Authorities responded to two incidents on Otter tail Lake over the weekend that both had positive outcomes.

A catamaran style sailboat capsized around 3:30 in the afternoon on Saturday.

Deputies arrived to find a good samaritan helping the boaters upright the sailboat and no one was hurt.

Just over an hour later, a man from North Dakota reported his 41-year-old brother missing on the lake.

They were on hydrofoils and his brother’s had mechanical issues.

Deputies did an extensive air and water search and the man was found an hour later safe and uninjured on the shore.
