Around 70 school districts across Minnesota have referendum votes on Tuesday

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Tuesday is election day and Minnesota School Boards Association says 70 school districts have referendums on the ballot, amounting to $1.6 billion in potential tax levies.
The association points to a number of factors behind the rise in school referendums including inflation, state Paid Family Leave requirements and uncertainty over federal funding.
Among the school districts hoping for a positive outcome on Tuesday night in our area are Moorhead, D-G-F, Breckenridge, Badger, Roseau and others.
In Minnesota, most polling locations will open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday and all polling locations will close at 8 p.m.
Anyone in line to vote by 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
You can find polling sites and view sample ballots at mnvotes.gov.
Minnesotans can register to vote on Election Day, if needed.
We’ll have complete coverage on air and online on KVRR all day Tuesday.
