Juvenile charged following Grand Forks pursuit

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — A juvenile is charged after leading authorities on a pursuit.

Around 6:30 p.m., an officer attempted to pull over a vehicle for erratic driving near 1300 South Washington Street.

The vehicle fled at a high-rate of speed. A Grand Forks County Sheriffs Deputy used a PIT maneuver near 2600 17th Avenue South to stop the driver.

The fleeing vehicle crashed into an electrical pole.

Police say the juvenile driver was not hurt but taken to Altru out of an abundance of caution.

The driver is charged with fleeing in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment, theft of a motor vehicle and theft of a debit card.
