In Division 3A, the Fargo Davies Eagles are looking to avenge their 2024 Dakota Bowl loss and bring the school its first title since 2014. After a dominant season 10 and 1 season, the Eagles are a win away from accomplishing that. On Friday they match up with a Bismarck Century squad they beat by 31-points in September, but the team says that they are going into this game knowing it will be a battle.
Head Coach Wayne Werremeyer and senior Quarterback Xavier Muse share their thoughts in the video above.
The Division 3A Dakota Bowl kicks off at 6:40 p.m. at the FargoDome.
Prior to that game that Division 2A Dakota Bowl takes place, and we will have a first-time champion. Minot North is the top-seed coming in with a perfect record in just their second Varsity season. Devils Lake, on the other hand, is proving they have what it takes to win it all. After defeating Kindred in overtime in the Semifinals, the Firebirds are one more upset away from bringing Devils Lake its first Dakota Bowl Title. To do it – a regular season rematch with the Sentinels after falling by just 6 points in October.
Senior running back / linebacker Bryar Exner shares his thoughts in the video above.
The 2A Dakota Bowl kicks off 20-minutes after the Division A game -approximately 3 p.m.
In that Division A Dakota Bowl its the 11 and 1 Bottineau Braves taking on the top-seeded Langdon Area-Edmore-Munich Cardinals. The Cards have been dominant all season long with their closest game being the 10-point semifinal win over Velva. A Title would be the team’s fist since completing a 3-peat from 2018 to 2020.
Senior Quarterback Jax Johnson shares his thoughts in the video above.
In 9-man its been a collision course all season long – a rematch of the 2024 title game with Lamoure-Litchville-Marion that New Rockford-Sheyenne-Maddock won 62 to 23. It was New Rockford-Sheyenne’s first title since 2012, but first as a co-op with Maddock. Now, after a dominant season, the team eyes a second straight title. But they know it will not be easy with the Loboes having an equally dominant season coming in.
Senior Wide Receiver Easton Benz shares his thoughts in the video above.
The 9-man title game kicks off the Dakota Bowl day at 9:10 A.M.
