MState expands online cannabis courses

MOORHEAD, Minn. — MState is expanding their cannabis certificate options for those looking to enter the emerging cannabis industry.
The expansion is through the college’s partnership with Green Flower, a national leader in cannabis education.
The original courses include cannabis policy, cultivation, and product development.
The three new options add retail sales, law compliance, and medical marijuana specialist.
The classes are online, non-credit courses through workforce solution, meaning a person doesn’t have to be enrolled at MState to take the courses.
“It is definitely an emerging industry and so there’s a lot of need for the education around the cannabis industry,” said Bailey Wothe for MState. “And so I feel that it’s important for people to learn about it and to take those courses if that is the path they would like to take in their future.”
MState is the first two-year college in Greater Minnesota to offer cannabis education.
