Tentative opening date set for terminal expansion at Hector International Airport

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Travelers will soon be able to step into a new terminal at Hector International Airport.

Executive director Shawn Dobberstein says the airport has set a tentative opening date for the eastern terminal section of February 9.

The full terminal renovation is expected to be finished in 2027.

The expansion will provide four new gates, a 1,500 square foot playroom, a virtual reality room, a pet relief area, and more.

They are also expanding the apron and improving the baggage claim area.

A new parking structure has already opened.

The total project cost is $200 million.
